Flirty and Feminine with Urban Decay's Feminine Palette

Hello Beauties!

While browsing Urban Decay's website, I noticed that the Feminine, Fun and Dangerous Palettes were $16! I think this is half off from the original price.

Today I was feeling a little more girly and wanted the use the more subdued (for Urban Decay!) shades in the Feminine Palette.

The Palette itself is gorgeous, a fun sparkly purple with a black lace motif.  It is zippered, and the makeup removes from the magnetized center to leave you with a reusable pouch. There's a little mirror, but it, like most palette mirrors, is fairly useless as it lays flat thus making it hard to use.

The Palette contains 6 shades and a mini lipgloss. Four of the shades are more subdued neutrals, but they are two pops of jewel toned shades to add some spice to your looks.

Shades include Bordello, Skimp, AC/DC, Gunmetal, Hijack, Lost and a Lip Junkie in Wallflower.

Bordello is pinkish mauve. It appeared satiny on the lid, not glittery.

Skimp is an eggshell off white with a hint of gold glimmer. On my eyes it looked like a fine light buttery yellow gold. Gorgeous for highlighting or inner eye brightening.

AC/DC is a jewel toned purple. On my eyes it had a bit of a pink sheen to it in certain lights. Gorgeous purple without looking bruised or tired on my eyes.

Gunmetal is shimmer gray with a bit of silver glitter in it. The glitter catches the light, but is not overwhelming. I did not notice any fallout from this shade.

Hijack is a unique green toned teal.  In certain lights, it has a deep smoky hue to it, making it a color I wasn't able to dupe in my stash.

Lost is medium brown shimmer that turns a touch copper in some lights.

Swatches with Flash. From left to right, Lost, Hijack, Gunmetal, AC/DC, Skimp, Bordello.

No flash, indoor lighting. From top to bottom-Lost, Hijack, Gunmetal, AC/DC, Skimp, Bordello

All of the shades are the superb buttery pigmented quality Urban Decay afficionados have come to love.

The lipgloss is ok, I don't think the color really comes through on my lips. I did feel a minty tingly feeling when the gloss is first applied, but I didn't notice any plumping. The color is a flat nude pink.  The applicator is a slant tip squeeze applicator, not a brush. The lip is really cute with the intricate cut outs.

Swatched on my hand.

The eyeshadows last about 5 hours without primer on my lids before creasing. The lipgloss I got about 2 hour wear without eating or drinking.

One Night Stand or Steady Relationship?

Totally in love. I would marry Urban Decay if I could, I have not meet a palette or product that I've been disappointed in yet. UD is the most reliable thing in my life right now <3

How do you loves feel about Urban Decay? What's the steady makeup love in your life?

Urban Decay Haul

Urban Decay was having a sale on a few of their palettes, so I picked up three.

I grabbed the Fun Palette and the Feminine Palette for $16 each, and the Glinda Palette from the OZ collection for $24.  So this was a rocking sale!  Along with my order, I received a free sample of All-Nighter and their BB cream.

Swatches to come soon!!

Bliss with Fabulous Face Lotion?

Hello Beauties!

Today I'm reviewing Bliss's Fabulous Face Lotion with SPF 15. I received a deluxe sample of it to try during my last Sephora order.

(Image From Sephora)

That's what the pretty new full-size version would look like.

Here's my grubby version.

As you can see, the white plastic packaging is a magnet for every fingerprint imaginable.

The lotion itself is white and fairly unscented, only vaguely smelling of sunscreen. The lotion describes itself as lightweight and non-greasy, but on my acne-prone and oily skin, it felt too heavy and greasy. This formula did not break me out, however. Sunscreen is an added plus, but I did not feel if there was any visible benefit or improvement to my skin using this lotion.

One Night Stand or Steady Relationship?

One Night Stand. The deluxe sample is nice, but I would not purchase in a full size. This lotion may be more appropriate for beauties with drier skin.

Bliss Fabulous Lotion with SPF 15 is available at Sephora for $36.00 for 1.7 oz.

Blitz Haul

Hello Beauties!

In light of all the drama surrounding the Sephora Blitz code (being leaked early, some people getting multiples, some being not), I almost hesitated in posting my haul. But I figured sharing my hauls may help some people decided which Blitz bag they want.

I apologize in advance for the sub par photos, my camera's charger is missing :(

I admit, I used the Blitz code early, without realizing when it started or that you were only supposed to be able to use it once. I placed my orders the day before, and thus was able to get all four Blitz bags.

The Bags

Detail
Width

The Blitz bags are pretty nice. Not especially the cutest, but a good size for travel. They are woven black in a pleather material.

Holly Jolly Nourishment

My personal favorite. This bag includes:
-Fresh Sugar Lip Treatment SPF 15 in Petal (I love Sugar Lip Treatments, and I'm excited to try it in Petal, which I would have bought full sized. )
-Clean Original Eau de Parfum
-Origins Plantscription SPF 25 Anti-Aging Cream
-Living Proof Nourishing Styling Cream
-Urban Decay B6 Vitamin-Infused Complexion Prep Spray
-Too Faced Tinted Beauty Balm SPF 20 in Nude Glow
-Peter Thomas Roth Oilless Oil 100 Percent Purified Squalane
-Buxom Lash

I love many offerings from Origins, Living Proof, Urban Decay and Too Faced so I'm excited to try these new to me products. I have approximately 300 Buxom Lash samples, and it doesn't do it for me, so I could have skipped that particular sample, but the Petal lippie makes this one my favorite.

Glowing Magic Radiance

This is probably my second favorite, if only because of the Nars primer. Samples in this bag include:
-Escada Cherry In The Air Eau De Toilette
-Lancome Gloss in Love Trio & Brush
-Alterna Bamboo Smooth Kendi Oil Dry Oil Mist
-Lancome Hypnose Star Mascara
-Shiseido IBUKI Refining Moisturizer
-Nars Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base
-Ole Henriksen Truth Serum Vitamin C Collagen Booster
-Algenist Firming & Lifting Cream

I don't believe I've tried any of these products before, so it's a nice way to sample some new things. The sample sizes are pretty generous as well.

Festive Cheery Endurance

The Bronze winner. Samples include:
-Lancome Definicils (Quite disappointed in this, it replaced the Anastasia Beverly Hills Lash Genius Waterpoof Topcoat, and I have tried Definicils in the past, and don't care for it.)
-Ren Hydra-Calm Cleansing Milk
-Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion-Anti-Aging
-Lancome Tresor Eau de Parfum
-Ojon Color Sustain PRO Fade-Fighter Weekly Conditioning Treatment
-Kat Von D Painted Love Lipstick
-Smashbox Camera Ready CC Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Dark Spot Correcting
-Smashbox Full Exposure Mascara

Tinsel Twinkle Perfection

My least favorite, only because I feel you get more bang for your buck with the sizes and variety in the other bags. Still a great GWP, and I would definitely don't regret snatching it up. Samples include:
-Bareminerals Marvelous Moxie Lip gloss in Maverick
-Murad Blackhead and Pore Cleaning Duo
-Living Proof Prime Style Extender
-Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal
-Smashbox Camera Ready CC Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 30 Dark Spot Correcting
-Lancome Hypnose Star Mascara
-Sephora Collection Instant Moisturizer
-Philosophy Living Grace Eau de Toilette

An Introduction of Sorts

Hello Beauties!

After much debate,  I've decided to start a beauty blog. Just like lipsticks, I know there are 5,650,000 other options for people to explore, but just like lipsticks again, one can never have too many!

A little bit about myself. I am a former make up artist for a prestige brand, however, I left to pursue graduate school. I've loved make up since my first blue eye shadow in middle school. I am still expanding my beauty collection and knowledge daily. (Unfortunately for my wallet).  I am a PPP, or
in less lyrical terms, whiter than a sheet of paper.  I'm NC15 in MAC Studio Fix. Blonde hair, blue eyes, and as common as that sounds, I found that there wasn't a lot of representation in the swatch world for my coloring, or else I haven't been finding the right bloggers!

I plan to do product reviews, swatches, FOTD/EOTD/NOTD, but as this is my first ever blog, I am definitely willing to adapt and modify based on what my readers(if any :p) want.

xoxo
