Revenge of the Masks!!

So,   this will be a fairly picture less post, as I had to get the offending items off of me and out of my house as quickly as possible, but I wanted to alert my dear readers as so to protect their precious skin.

Recently, Sephora launched new masks for $6 a piece on their website. As they are quick filler items, and the bath pods and hair ties are gone, I know many of my fellow Sephorites throw them in to hit a minimum shipping or promo code requirement. I was one of those hapless fellows, and grabbed the Yellow Ginseng Mask.

This is a single use mask that Sephora claims will tone and revitalize. When I opened the mask, I was overpowered by the smell. It was disgusting, like leftover sushi and ginger. I am not sensitive to scents, but I was almost unable to bare it. I decided to power through it, since ginseng can be a powerful smell. The mask tingled a bit when I put it on, but I thought it might be an effect of the toning and pore properties. That was a mistake, and I should have taken it off at that point. I left it on for the full 15 minutes, and my face was red when I took it off.  My face felt extremely oily and greasy afterwards. There was no toning, brightening, replumping or other effects like Sephora claimed. The next day, I woke with a huge huge red angry pimple. I had made no other new additions to my routine, so I can only assume it was because of the mask. I am not sure if this mask is the sole bad apple out of the group, but it has made me wary of buying any of the other masks in the Sephora line.

Buyer beware!!!

Yes To Promotion

Hey Lovelies!

I did an amazing haul from the Yes To line with their $2 cyber monday deal. I will have individuals reviews of those products up,  but I thought I would give you a heads up about Yes To giving away Cucumber Wipes to a lucky 100,000. The Yes To line is a great skincare line, with different lines (Carrot, Blueberries, Tomatoes) for different needs. I'm in love with the Cucumber Shampoo, a great non drying conditioning shampoo. It's sulfate free!

Make up wipes are a lovely of mine. They are great for those late nights or lazy days when you don't feel like doing your whole cleansing routine.  Sleeping in make up is recipe for break outs, so take it off the easy way with these wipes.

Bliss with Fabulous Face Lotion?

Hello Beauties!

Today I'm reviewing Bliss's Fabulous Face Lotion with SPF 15. I received a deluxe sample of it to try during my last Sephora order.

That's what the pretty new full-size version would look like.

Here's my grubby version.

As you can see, the white plastic packaging is a magnet for every fingerprint imaginable.

The lotion itself is white and fairly unscented, only vaguely smelling of sunscreen. The lotion describes itself as lightweight and non-greasy, but on my acne-prone and oily skin, it felt too heavy and greasy. This formula did not break me out, however. Sunscreen is an added plus, but I did not feel if there was any visible benefit or improvement to my skin using this lotion.

One Night Stand or Steady Relationship?

One Night Stand. The deluxe sample is nice, but I would not purchase in a full size. This lotion may be more appropriate for beauties with drier skin.

Bliss Fabulous Lotion with SPF 15 is available at Sephora for $36.00 for 1.7 oz.
