August Empties!

Time for the monthly installment of stuff I actually used up! Very exciting for me, although I should stop buying 12 things for every 1 I finish.

So here's the good, bad and the meh of what I've used this month.

My Beauty Diary Lemon Vit C Mask- Loved it!! It definitely made my skin glow and radiant.

Boots Coconut and Hibiscus Body Wash-This smelled so great, and was cheap to boot! Not a cheap coconut, like sun tan lotion or Malibu, but a rich tropical smell. Would rebuy.

Origins Zero Oil Toner- This toner made my skin matte and had a nice clean astringent feeling after using it.

Lancome Visionnarie sample- Love this stuff, will be so sad when my sample packet stash runs out, but I would definitely consider buying full sized. It makes my pores look great, my skin feel smooth.

Lioele Dr. Ampoule Pore Tightening- Samples I got from Beauteque. Love this stuff, it's my favorite ampoule I've tried. Definitely makes my pores look smaller, although not permanently. Would buy full sized.

Angels on Bare Skin Facial Cleanser. This stuff smells amazing. Like, I'm not sure it really did too much for my skin, but it smelled so good I would rebuy anyway. I used it at night, since the scent was very calming and nice to fall asleep to.

Dr. Jart BB Cream. This was the one in the black tube. I am not a big BB cream person, but I did like this one as a base, on which I added more coverage concealer and powder foundation wise. I don't know if I would personally buy it again, because I like TonyMoly BCDation better for a BB Cream, but I like this one and would recommend it.

Now on to the bad ://

My Beauty Diary Under Eye Care Hydrogel Patch-I love MBD's face masks, but their eye care patches do nothing for me. This one was just meh to me.

The second MBD eye mask I tried. Dark Circles Intensive Care Eye Mask. Didn't do a thing for my dark circles. It also bothered my lower lash line and lashes. I would only recommend it if you have parched under eye skin.

Glamglow BrightMud Eye Treatment- I know Glamglow is a big hyped product right now, and I do like the White Glamglow, but the Black Glamglow and the BrightMud aren't worth their price tags.  BrightMud is an under eye mask and is supposed to help dark circles. Didn't do that, but it didn't irritate my eyes like the MBD eye patches did. If anyone knows of a good eye mask, let me know in the comments!!

Sally Hansen InstaDri Nail Polish that I don't know the name of because the sticker fell off. Wouldn't rebuy, it was a streaky mess that need 3 or more coats to cover the nail line.

This was part of a gift set I got at a work Secret Santa. Didn't have any smell, floral or not, and didn't effervesce or really add anything to my bath. Wouldn't rebuy.

Wild Cherry Blossom Shampoo and Conditioner from Suave. Yep, this didn't smell like cherry blossoms, which was the only reason I bought it. Wouldn't rebuy.

Sample of Garnier's new Fructis Marvelous oil. There are 3 different varieties and this one is the Deep Nourish one. It smelled amazing, but left my hair feeling greasy. I would try one of the other varieties, but not this one. If your hair is really really dry, this might be worth a try.

Benefit Eye Cream sample. Didn't improve my eye area, especially under eye circles which are my biggest eye concern. Just meh.

Clean and Clear Continuous Control Acne Cleanser. This is a tingly cream cleanser. It's a bit thick feeling, and it didn't really help my acne. Just meh.

Anybody find any new loves or loathes this August?

Take a Spa Day with Beauteque!

Beauteque is US based retailer that sells Asian brands, at fairly competitive prices. I've placed a few orders in the past from them, which were all delivered safely, with samples and free shipping over $35.

So being on their email list, when I saw they were doing a special spa bag for August, I jumped on it!

The bag is extremely customizable, which is really nice.

I love the little menu, it does make you feel like you having a spa day. This would be great for an individual relaxing day, or for a fun girl's get-together. Get some fresh fruit, cheese, wine, chocolate, and really pamper yourself with your closest friends.

The first step in the spa day is an eye mask. I choose dark circles, and received My Beauty Diary's Dark Circles Intensive Care Eye Mask, which I did use before, and didn't care for. I have very very dark circles, however, so it might take a bleach mask to fix those.  The other options to choose from where Puffiness and Smoothness.

Second step is Skinfood's Rice Wash Off Mask. Skinfood is very popular brand of skincare, with ingredients from fresh foods, and lines to address a huge variety of skin concerns.

Ingredient list! This mask came in every bag.

The third step is a hair mask.  This mask I actually purchased separately, but is an option you can choose.

This mask is the one included in my bag. This one is for treating split ends. The other options to choose from are hydrating, nourishing and extremely damaged.

The fourth step is a foot mask. This is a softening lotion foot mask, not a peeling foot mask, which are very popular in Asian body care. This mask is basically little booties with lotion that you wrap on your feet and keep on for an hour. It is recommended you keep your feet up when wearing these. This was automatically included.

The fifth step is the always popular sheet mask. You got to choose two different masks. I picked the TonyMoly Red Wine Pore Care mask, which would be lovely with some actual red wine, right?

My second option was an oil control mask, which is My Beauty Diary's Strawberry Yogurt Mask. I love My Beauty Diary Masks, so this is always something I will use. The other options to pick from are Whitening, Anti-Aging, Soothing, Nourishing, Moisturizing and Brightening. Brightening would have been my third choice.

The final step is hand mask to give you soft baby hands. This was in all the bags.

Finally, there was an included headband to keep your hair back while using a mask.

It is surprisingly nice and and comfortable. You had a choice of pink or blue.

This bag costs $20 and is available until September 1st. You are getting about $30 of goodies (not including the headband, which I couldn't find on their site), so it's a good deal.

1. Secret Key Body & Dress Perfume Mist (80ml/$10)

This came in 7 different options, but they don't say anything but a number, so I have no idea what the other scents are. I got Scent 4.  I tried googling to see if there was anything in English about the name or notes of this perfume or any of the others, but I found nothing.  The perfume itself is sticky feeling when it touches the skin, and doesn't aerosol into a fine mist, instead comes out as a jet of sticky liquid. If you sprayed this on a dress, I imagine it would leave a water stain. The smell itself is off putting, very old lady rotten flowers.  This is the first Memebox product I have ever been so disappointed in that I wanted to trade or sell it.  :( But alas, I should be positive and consider myself lucky that out of all of my boxes, I've only had one bomb of a product.  Hopefully other memers got better smelling perfumes :)

2 RiRe Lip Manicure (10ml/$18)

The color choices for this product were Warm Peach, Virgin Orange, Deep Plum, Rich Raspberry, Muse Red, Chiffon Coral and Pink Pink.

I received Rich Raspberry, which is awesome, because it was one of my top choices.

A lip manicure is supposed to be a lip color that boosts the level of color radiance and long lasting finish of nail manicures. They are supposed to be completely drink and food proof.

You apply the Lip Manicure on your lips, and wait a minute to close or touch your mouth while it completely dries.

I like the bottle design, which includes a funnel insert that helps scrap off extra product.

The color is extremely vivid and vibrant, very gorgeous. It's a thicker consistency, but I haven't worn it on my lips to see if it is tacky.

Swatch! I should have gotten the Hand and Nail box, because my hands look like mutant blobs.

I'm going to have to agree with the food/drink proof claim, as this is my hand after scrubbing with soap and water.

Ingredients listed in English, for those who have allergies, or want to avoid certain ingredients.

3. Secret Nature From Jeju Cream (50ml/$31)

Jeju is an island of Korea, that has a large volcanic rock formation, and boosts a thriving agriculture economy. Many Korean products will have the word Jeju in it, either referring to volcanic derived ingredients or the products were grown on Jeju island. This cream is the latter product, with organic broccoli, aloe vera leaf, asparagus, and carrot extracts grown pesticide-free on Jeju Island.

This is moisturizing cream that is nourishing and locks in moisture for a more radiant and glowing complexion. Isn't the bottle cute? It's pretty hefty feeling glass, and the top reminds me of a cork.

4. The Skin House Dr. Clear Magic Stick Roll (15 ml/$22)

This is a roll on spot treatment that is purse sized for acne emergencies! The acne like wood spots on the package are a little much though lol.

I personally wouldn't use it on top of my makeup, because I don't want to ruin my makeup, nor do I think that is the most effective way to get the active ingredients into the acne.

5. Oseque Dual Sun Block (70 ml/$46)

Asian suncare is miles above the US's, mostly because pale skin is prized there, while tan is adored here. I believe since this is a sun block that people who are allergic to chemical sunscreen can use this.

The dual formula is spray and cream, depending on which part of the body you are applying to.

6. W.Holic Roll On Perfume (10ml/$21)

This was available in 14 varieties.

I got this Lempicka, which is a great smell that makes up for the gross dress spray. It smells like an oriental floral smell, with a hint of spice to it. I love love love it.

The box costs $29 and has a value of $148. Very very good bang for your buck, even if you got the dead flower perfume.

This box is sold out, but you can try K Style 3, which is in the same theme of box.

There's also Back to School by Hope Girl Box that gives you two memepoints/dollars off a future purcahse.

And if you click through any of these banners, you get an automatic discount that is stackable with any other meme code!
